Why is Genealogy important?

Interesting question!, Hi we're John and Julie Luger, the owners of Family History Hunter and
Genealogy and History have been passions of ours for a long time. We can give a few reasons
as to why they are important: First of all, we believe that every action and effect that happens
has a cause behind it. Nothing happens that doesn't have something causing it to happen in
advance! We believe that if we want to understand why we do as we do today, we need to
know and understand our own and families' pasts first. That being said, Secondly, the past
has never really passed on-We know that this might be a mouthful to take in, but when
we consider how an event that happened 120 years ago is still making an impact today,
we'll understand this concept better. When I(John), for example, think about how I like to
try a new way of doing things, when I think about my Great Grandfather came to America in
the 1890's because life in Ireland wasn't going to work out for him, I understand. When
Julie laughs in a certain style, when thinking of how her own Grandma laughed in the
same style, it makes sense! A third reason is that we all want to and should know where
we came from and our ancestors' life stories, because they become our stories. America
is a product of the world and we should know of how the world has impacted and
created our country. I(John) have been at it on my own family tree for only over 40
years, and am still at work researching on it because I want to know all of the
life stories of my ancestors as far back as possible and see how they influence and
affect me.When I(Julie) met John, I got hooked on wanting to find my ancestors
